2017 - Ralph

In 2017, the Army Ants again competed at St. Louis Regional. “Ralph” was designed to pick up and place gears, shoot fuel into the top boiler goal, and climb aboard near the end of the match. Ralph was presented with the Judges Award, as our team had demonstrated that we fully embrace the principles of FIRST. The 2017 game was FIRST Steamworks, a medieval themed challenge. Teams are grouped into alliances and work together to prepare steam powered airships for the long distance race, by building steam pressure, starting rotors, and preparing for flight.
